NMC Staff Contacts
The staff of New Mount Carmel Baptist Church exist for the following purposes:
To equip
the church body to do the work of the ministry. At New Mount Carmel Baptist Church we
believe that every member is designed for ministry, because God has gifted all of us to
fit into the body of Christ.
To perform
roles that are required on a daily basis to operate the church, which cannot for some
reason(s) be filled by church members or volunteers. Whenever possible, based on the
philosophy stated above, we will use ministry roles which will be filled by ministry
volunteers who report to staff.

ACCOUNTABILITY
The
head of the church is Christ! We believe that God has given us a shepherd/pastor who is
charged with leading the congregation with the vision that God has given him. As our
shepherd, he is accountable to God. We are accountable as a staff to God through our
shepherd/pastor to make ministry on earth happen.

HRBerry@ChristIsKing.orgHarrell Ray is
the son of Mrs. Jessie Mae Berry and the late Reverend Claude A. Berry. In January
of 1987, Harrell Ray confessed his calling to the Gospel Ministry. On Sunday,
February 16, 1987, he preached his first sermon at the New Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist
Church. He attended the Union Theological Seminary, Houston, Texas where he studies
religious education and received an Associate Degree. Harrell Ray continues his
studies in religious education at the College of Bibilical Studies, Houston, Texas.
